Burn Fat Without Going To The Gym

Every time you think about losing weight or burning those extra layers of fat, your mind probably makes you imagine a huge gym. And that gym possibly has those gigantic machines that you must use lose weight.

While the notion of heading to a gym and running on a treadmill or making your legs work on an elliptical may seem intimidating, that’s not the only way you can shed some pounds.

If you are looking for an excuse to skip the gym, well, you’re in for a treat. You can flex those muscles and burn that blubber without going to the gym. You have the option of budget treadmills in the market that you can select and start working out at home itself.

Or better yet, revamp your diet plan a bit and voila! Many studies have shown that changes in diet can have an increased effect on weight loss than physical activity.

However, one shouldn’t delude themselves into believing that only a strict diet will do the trick.  When accompanied by a good workout session each day, the results are going to be worth the struggle.

It is of the utmost importance to keep your body moving to increase your metabolism and get rid of fat.

So before your laziness gets the better of you, here’s how you can work your way towards a toned body without ever setting foot in the gym.

1. Have a power breakfast high in fiber and protein

Breakfast is the first and most important meal of the day. If you give yourself a good start each day, chances are you’ll continue with the same energy and zeal throughout.

Research shows that a breakfast rich in protein and fiber like scrambled eggs, fruits, sautéed vegetables, oatmeal, etc., decreases food cravings and makes one feel full for long.

You can also take a protein shake to get things started.

While this may not seem like the most perfect or obvious way to burn fat, however, in the long run, it will do your body a huge favor.

2. Who hasn’t heard of Green Tea?

This name probably sounds very familiar because it’s a popular and healthy beverage that is packed with benefits and antioxidants. One major component of green tea is caffeine which is a stimulant that leads to burning of fat and an improvement in exercise performance.

The active compounds in green tea tend to break the fat into fat cells which in turn activates the fat-burning hormones. So every time you crave a hot drink, head to your kitchen, make a steaming cup of green tea and sip away.

The process may seem a bit long and the effects may not be as quickly visible as you’d want, but green tea is an energy booster and health booster. Drinking a few cups a day will do your health a lot of good.

3. Steer clear of junk food and avoid binge eating

It is common practice for people to binge on their favorite bag of chips with a chilled can of soda as they watch their favorite T.V show. Others binge eat out of boredom or perhaps because they haven’t got anything else to do.

While at that moment, your cravings are being satiated and you are enjoying your snack, you are also causing great damage to your body and your metabolism.

When you eat more frequently, your body gets used to the idea of digesting more food and you are likely to get numerous hunger cravings throughout the day. This is the worst thing that you can do to yourself.

To burn calories and fat, lose weight and tone your body, you must let go of mindless snacking or you can use some fat burning supplements to boost the weight loss process.

Substitute unhealthy foods in your kitchen with healthy substitutes – completely do away with chocolates, cookies, biscuits, chips, and other items that you can grab and eat.

Instead, spend on natural foods like vegetables, nuts and almonds and lean meats.

4. Never stop walking!

Since you are not going to the gym, the best exercise you can do to ensure physical activity is walking. If you are habitual of taking your car out for every little task, then don’t.

Try walking instead. If elevators and escalators put a smile on your face, stop taking those and take the stairs instead. Try to incorporate as much physical activity as you can manage during your routine.

Walking with smaller steps while pumping your arms helps you go faster and burns more calories along the way.

Also, walking has been rated as one of the best exercises for fat burning. Engaging in brisk walking for 45 minutes every day will help your body burn fat faster.

5. Weight loss is incomplete without exercise

Just like the standard combinations of bread and butter, pancakes, and maple syrup, weight loss goes best with exercise. You may be eating clean and healthy, however, a few minutes of cardio will elevate the entire process and give you the desired results quicker than you realize.

Pick out your favorite exercise which can range from isometric arm curls, suitcase crunches, Russian twists, push-ups and pull-ups, squats, etc.

Buy yourself a nice and soft exercise mat and whichever equipment you may need depending on your choice of exercise. Well, what are you waiting for, exercise away and build yourself a road to great fitness!

Performing these bodyweight exercises will definitely improve your metabolism and along with a balanced diet, you will surely get rid of all that fat.

Losing weight, burning calories, shedding off extra fat – all this can be very daunting as you struggle to figure out which method is best for you or which diet plan you can really follow.

Regardless, if approached with a cool mind and consistent determination, you can easily check off weight loss on your bucket list and attain your perfect weight and your ideal body shape.

Contrary to popular beliefs, you don’t necessarily need a gym to help you achieve all that. Just stay focused, make a simple, attainable diet and exercise plan and follow it religiously. You are good to go!
