But how do you plan a spooky, yet fun, budget-conscious fiesta without losing your mind? Here are some tips and tricks to throwing a child-friendly Halloween party that will be remembered for years to come.
1. Budget properly
While this may be one of the least fun aspects of party planning, it is certainly the most important. Setting the right budget will be pivotal in determining exactly what you can do at the party, where you can host it, and who you can invite. A budget also prevents you from going overboard on food, decor, or costumes. It is usually best to set your budget as soon as you decide to have the party so that you can set aside money each week to cover the costs for decorations, food, costumes, activities, and of course, candy! By taking a bit of your paycheck out and putting it into savings week by week, it will ease the stress of spending money on your festivities.
2. Go crazy with the invites
Your invites will give out the first impression of your party, so you’ll want to make them pop. Once you choose your theme, make sure it is shown all over the invite. Feel free to get creative. Use pictures, alliteration, poems, or even song lyrics to describe the festivities, and neon orange or muted purple and black for the theme. - A pumpkin hunt, which is like an Easter egg hunt, but with mini pumpkins hidden all around the party area.
