air purifier

Many people hear the words “air purifier” and they think that it just sucks air in, filters it and shoots air out. But it isn’t quite that simple. These machines do more than just generally clean the air. And there’s more in the air that these machines get rid of than you realize. They take care of a number of different kinds of air pollutants.

Clean air in your home equals better health. Exhaust fumes from cars? yep. They make their way in. Molds and allergens? Yep. Dust? Oh, it’s there in spades. And much more. Let’s take a look at some of the many bad things in your home that air purifiers will help with. Each and every one of these is a good reason to have one in your home so that you can breathe easier. 1. Pet Dander

No matter how clean we keep our pets, dander is a problem. This is important because pet dander triggers many people who have allergies. If you have pets, over time it can build up in your lungs, but the good news is that air purifiers can capture and filter out these harmful tiny particles. Now you and your pets can breathe better.

2. Allergies

Aside from pet dander, there are many other allergens in your home. If you have allergies, it doesn’t take much to set you off. Any dust or other foreign air particles can make you have a very bad day. Your air purifier removes these particles from the air so that you aren’t adversely affected. This is a big relief to anyone who suffers from blocked sinuses and migraines.

3. Asthma

Do you suffer from Asthma? These machines can be a great help in managing your symptoms. Tiny microbes make asthma and other respiratory problems worse. And again, the key is to get these out of the air so that you aren’t breathing them in. Clean air will help to alleviate asthma and other problems. You will be very glad that you have an air purifier with this condition and it will help to improve your life.

4. Exhaust and Pollutants from Traffic

Many of us live next to busy streets full of traffic and those emissions enter our home. Even if you live far away from any streets, these pollutants are still inside. It’s something that many of us don’t think about, but these pollutants are dangerous. Air purifiers take these toxins from the air, so we don’t suffer any ill effects from them.

5. Mold

If you live in a climate that gets a lot of rain or if your house has suffered water damage in the past, you may have mold and not even be aware of it. Buildings made of stone and wood are especially prone to this. Black mold is the most dangerous and can be deadly if left in place and inhaled over time. Reduce your exposure with an air purifier.

6. Chemical Sensitivity

Chemical sensitivity happens with long term exposure to chemicals. It makes people much more sensitive to what most of us see as common household smells. It can even trigger pulmonary problems. Air purifiers will filter these chemicals out of the air and make life much more pleasant for anyone suffering from this illness.

We could go on all day, but as you can see, these machines offer a wide variety of protection to everyday culprits that make life harder. The bottom line is that because of this, there is really no substitute for a good air purifier in your home. In fact, it’s a good idea to have a few around the house to clean your air up even more.
